Social Shelter In Place Ideas!

Hi ASB! We hope you guys are having a wonderful shelter in place. Here are our ideas!

Virtual Fashion Show

• ASB and InDesign have come to an agreement that the "traditional fashion show" should be canceled due to uncertainty, lack of time to prepare, and hesitancy to host a large gathering of people
• We have potential alternatives based on the viability of designers finishing their designs at home

1. Push back the traditional fashion show to late August/early September
1. This would take away and event from Social next year (likely Welcome Back Dance) and make it so that there would likely be two fashion shows next year
2. It would mean senior designers and models who have already gone to college would no longer be able to participate, although their pieces may still be featured
3. Also, pushing back the InDesign fashion show means we set a precedent for rescheduling other club events (e.g Silsilay) as we can't offer preferential treatment to any group
4. There would be no event this year
2. Assuming school resumes May 1:
1. We would create a video with the Indesign Stage and slight decorations with models walking and posing along the track. Then, the video and possibly photos would be posted.
2. OR, we could have the fashion show take place over multiple lunches, having decorations/mannequins out in the quad with traditional aspects of a fashion shows 
3. Assuming Shelter In Place extends to the end of the year
1. We would have designers (who can finish their pieces) and models send in videos and photos of their pieces for ASB to post

Teachers Read RateMyTeacher:

• Interested teachers can read RateMyTeacher reviews or react to any other form of media that can be decided later
• ASB can compile them together into a video and release it to the students for overall entertainment
• Interested teachers would fill out a form and we would offer guidelines to the length of the clips

Commission Challenge Switchoff

• Many commissions have expressed interest in involving some form of online/social media challenge
• With seven different commissions, each commission will be in charge of one day of each week and come up with their own challenge idea
• Each week can follow a set theme to create overall consistency, or each week can involve a different medium (e.g Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)

Dedicated LHS Challenges Account (Similar to LHS Askings)

• In conjunction with Commission Challenge Switchoff, we are thinking of utilizing a similar concept to the LHS Askings competition
• While which challenges would accept submissions is to be decided, we could introduce a competitive aspect by featuring challenge responses once again and having votes
• Maybe each week would have one overarching and large challenge, etc.
• The viability of introducing prizes remains to be discussed

Podcast

• As a form of entertainment, we can record a weekly podcast giving updates, having fun, and promoting activities that can be performed during shelter in place
• We could switch off hosts from ASB each time (Signups or one commission per week)
• Each week should have a theme
